HOW TO: STYLE A SILK SHIRT

Silk and Boujee…

Right up there with the white button down shirt, is the silk shirt on the hierarchy of wardrobe staples. It is the perfect touch of luxury & versatility and a must have in any woman’s wardrobe.

In my quest to build a minimal wardrobe, I’ve become more drawn to pieces that can play multi-functional roles depending on my choice of outfit. Transitioning easily from casual, to smart, tailored outfits and even making an appearance on the androgynous days, I’ve found a black silk shirt to be the perfect chameleon in any wardrobe.

I can almost never resist an all black pairing and this look is no exception.

  First of all, thank you! For fuller figured women, I recommend going with one piece that is figure flattering, for example, a straight skirt or pants. You can always pair an oversize piece with a more fitted one and look great! It works for all my clients! Also, invest in waist belts, they’re great at accentuating the waist and giving the illusion of an hourglass figure. I do it all the time!
