DEALING IN COLOUR
Lately, I’ve found myself dwelling on emotions I thought I had moved on from, from my personal troubles, to friends & family and even on this crazy journey of finding love and “the one”.
I pride myself on being a strong woman. The woman who cries and deals in silence, puts up a strong front and goes about her business like nothing. The problem with this method of coping is often forgetting that sooner or later, emotions buried under bottles of wine and behind muted sobs eventually catch up with you and have to be dealt with.
I took a page out of Shirley Eniang’s colour therapy book, dropped the glass of wine, stopped wallowing and decided to deal in colour and a cute outfit, because why not?
I absolutely loved putting together and shooting this outfit because summer is in full bloom over here and the city is adorned with beautiful flowers and kind tourists that never fail to dash out a nice compliment. Sometimes, it helps to remember that it’s the little things that make it all better.
