PRETTY IN PINK | THE ALMA CHRONICLE

PERSONAL STYLE

PRETTY IN PINK

IMG_8067Wide legged pants are really doing it for me at the moment. As much as I love my skinnies and well tailored trousers, I have been bored out of my mind lately and my wardrobe screamed at me to change it up a little.

I have heard phrases like “don’t think about wide legged pants if you’re a short girl” well, I beg to disagree and I’m going to share some tips with you fellow vertically challenged girls like me how to rock this piece while staying fab!

  1. Wear heels as it elongates the legs and makes you look taller
  2. Go for high waisted and ensure it’s properly fitted at the waist to enhance your figure. You can also use a belt for extra fitting.
  3. Too long is better than too short. Jumping trousers are far from flattering on anyone.
  4. Choose monochromatic colours because clashing colours draws attention away from your figure.

A good wide legged trouser transitions perfectly from office wear to after hours with ease, one of the many reasons I’m currently obsessed.

I hope this post is useful to someone out there, if you have any more tips on how to rock this style, please drop a comment below!

I’m loving wide leg trousers to change up the closet a bit. However, I think I will always have a soft spot for skinny legs and culottes.
