PRODUCT REVIEW- LIANOR BEAUTY BAR | THE ALMA CHRONICLE

PRODUCT REVIEW- LIANOR BEAUTY BAR

skin care

With the current rave about Buying Nigerian to boost our economy and generally supporting and encouraging the effort being put out by Nigerian brands, I figured it was about time I shared these skin care products I’ve been loving lately.

While I still have a few issues with the Nigerian fashion and design industry, check my rant here, I must give two thumbs up to the companies/individuals invested in the skin care business. From a variety of skin care products ranging from body scrubs to balms and even soufflés, I must say I am impressed.

I was gifted with a small set of Lianor beauty products a while ago and I fell so in love with the products that I had to get in touch with the owner, Lolia, to get a better knowledge of these products before sharing it with you guys.

LiaNor Beauty Bar is a Nigerian organic skincare brand with products that nourish and protect your skin. All our ingredients are meticulously researched and selected for best quality outcome. We also source most of our products locally to promote our Proudly Nigerian heritage. All our products are made from virgin oils, essential oils, plant extracts and natural vitamins. They are chemical free, handmade and handcrafted in small batches in order to control all the processes and ensure utmost quality.
Our commitment to quality is with a No Compromise approach especially for people who care about the purity and quality of the products they use.”

Blueberry Lip Scrub

This is my favourite product of all three. The blueberry scrub leaves my lips feeling moisturized and soft after exfoliating plus it smells amazing! Very similar to a typical scrub from Lush and it costs only N500! However, I wish this product was in a solidified form to reduce the mess it makes and to get better use out of it.

Packaging – 3/5

Price – 5/5

Lip Balm

Non greasy but moisturizing lip balm that leaves your lips chap free and kissable all day! This product has recently replaced my vaseline and serves as a good base underneath my matte lipsticks. Love it! Costs N500

Price – 5/5

Green Tea Complexion Soap

skin care

This bar reminds me of the black soap aka Dudu Osun. The Green tea complexion soap is made of ingredients that are essential for a glowy skin like Bentonite clay, Green tea, Castor oil, Coconut oil, Olive Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil and Shea butter. Honestly, she had me sold at coconut oil.

Unlike Dudu Osun, this bar didn’t dry out my skin which makes it ideal for everyday use. It lathers really well and also leaves me squeaky clean (seriously guys, I did the squeak test after taking a shower). However, it leaves a mess in the tub, like a traditional black soap would and doesn’t have the most pleasant smell.

Packaging – 2/5

Price (N1200-1500) – 3/5

Your Pictures are perfect. Teach me Master!

This brand’s packaging reminds me of lush for some reason, and yes. Nigerian skincare has been doing great lately. Might just try this one out.
