Time to fall in love with JORD | THE ALMA CHRONICLE

Time to fall in love with JORD

Jord Wood Watches | The Alma Chronicle

The holiday season is fast approaching and if you’re anything like me, you’re putting finishing touches to your wish list and sending it out to loved ones, or compiling your naughty and nice list.

Jord Wood Watches | The Alma Chronicle

Jord Wood Watches | The Alma Chronicle

I had seen this unique wood watch grace the wrists of my favourite influencers and appearing in perfectly coordinated flatlays, that it was only natural to add it to my Christmas wish list. I was stoked when the brand JORD, reached out and gifted me with the Frankie 35 model in Dark Sandalwood & Slate

My wristwatch collection is minimal so it was refreshing to try something with a unique twist to wrist wear. I had some concerns & was quite curious about the wearability of a wood wristwatch over time, just like my fellow #girlboss blogger Dominique, but I can happily say neither her nor I have been disappointed.

Immediately, I took to the web to read on the properties of sandalwood & slate, to ensure proper care of this unique wristwatch. I was surprised to find out that sandalwood is heavy as one of my first thought on unboxing was “wow this wristwatch is really light for wood”. It also features the sapphire glass which is known to be a common factor in luxurious timepieces, for its durability and transparency properties & aesthetic appearance. Mechanically, it is second to only diamond as the hardest and most scratch resistant materials on earth. In other words, unless you’re a walking diamond, you’re good.

Over the years, my sisters and I have fallen back to the idea of gifting wristwatches when in doubt. Lucky for everyone, JORD offers a variety of options in women’s & men’s watches. I say, it’s never too early to start putting together a gift guide! (P.S What is on your Christmas wishlist, leave a comment below!)

I’ve partnered up with JORD Wood Watches to offer a great contest to win a $75 e-gift code to shop on the JORD Wood Watches site! Go head and enter the contest here. In addition, all contest entrants will receive a $20 e-gift code just for entering! The code is valid until December 18, 2016.

(N.B The contest is open internationally)

Happy Shopping!

Till next time,

xx

Awww Alma! Thank you for your kind words! Haha – people call me “#GirlBoss” and I kind of laugh because I mostly feel like a chicken with her head cut off…just running around like crazy to keep up.

Your support though is a sign that I’m doing something right…especially since I creep your on point style SO HARD. Haha!

    Keep killing it, girlie!!

I totally relate with the likening to a chicken with the head cut off, I’m that way most times! You’re most definitely welcome! And thank you :)
